  Duncan Schouten (Bio)

Duncan Schouten is a Master's student in composition at the Schulich School of Music. He was born in Ottawa, Ontario, where he completed a Bachelor of Music and Diploma of Sonic Design at Carleton University. His music explores the myriad timbral possibilities of acoustic instruments, which has led him to the incorporation of electronics as a means to further extend their potential. When he is not working, Duncan enjoys fine beer, aged cheese, and death metal. He is a Studio Assistant for MUCO 341, Digital Studio Composition I and MUCO 342, Digital Studio Composition II, for 2010/11
