Liliana Piazza

Liliana Piazza, native d’Ottawa, est en première année d’une maîtrise en musique à l’Université McGill, où elle étudie avec Michael Meraw. Après avoir fait ses études de 1er cycle à l’Université de Toronto, avec la professeure Jean MacPhail, Liliana est ravie de vivre à Montréal. Elle a eu la chance de passer l’été à titre de Young Artist (jeune artiste) au Banff Centre of the Arts, et elle a passé l’automne 2006 au pays de Galles dans le cadre d’une tournée de concerts avec le Burlington Male Welsh Choir. En tant que boursière Sidgwick de l’Orpheus Choir de Toronto, elle a pu interpréter de nombreux solos sous la baguette de Robert Cooper. Elle compte à son actif maints rôles avec Opera in Concert et Toronto Operetta Theatre, notamment Brigitte dans Die Tote Stadt, Suzy dans La Rondine, Linette dans L'Amour des trois oranges, et Frasquita dans El Gato Montes. Elle a aussi interprété Florence dans Albert Herring, et Bradamante dans Alcina avec Opéra McGill.

Liliana Piazza, a native of Ottawa, is currently in her first year of a Masters of Music programme at McGill University, where she studies with Michael Meraw. Having received her undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto, studying with Jean MacPhail, Liliana is thrilled to be living in Montreal. Liliana had the opportunity to spend a past summer as Young Artist at the Banff Centre of the Arts, and she spent fall 2006 in Wales on a concert tour with the Burlington Male Welsh Choir. As a Sidwick Scholar with the Orpheus Choir of Toronto, she has also had many solo oportunities under the baton of Robert Cooper. Credits include many roles with Opera in Concert and Toronto Operetta Theatre such as Brigitte in DIE TOTE STADT, Suzy in LA RONDINE, Linette in L'AMOUR DES TROIS ORANGES, and Frasquita in EL GATO MONTES. Other roles have included Florence in ALBERT HERRING, and Bradamante in ALCINA with Opera McGill.
