Mikah Meyer
Mikah Meyer (contre-ténor) – Récemment en vedette dans le magazine Classical Singer et USA Today, Mikah a entrepris cette année une maîtrise en musique, interprétation vocale, comme titulaire d’une bourse des ambassadeurs de la Fondation Rotary, sous la direction de la professeure Thérèse Sévadjian. En mai dernier, il a obtenu son baccalauréat en musique de l’Université de Memphis. Parmi les faits saillants à Memphis figurent l’interprétation des solos de haute-contre dans la Messe en si mineur de Bach avec l’Orchestre symphonique de Memphis, le rôle d’Armindo dans Partenope, chanter avec l’ensemble contemporain a cappella DeltaCappella, et la présentation de sa recherche « Standardization of the Countertenor ». Cette saison, Meyer retrouve l’Orchestre symphonique de Memphis en tant que contre-ténor soliste dans Chichester Psalms de Bernstein, et interprétera la première sorcière dans la production de Didon et Énée par Opéra McGill.
Mikah, Meyer (countertenor) - Recently featured in Classical Singer Magazine and USA Today, Mikah began his MMus in Voice Performance this year as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, studying with Prof. Thérèse Sévadjian. Last May he received his BMus degree from the University of Memphis. Highlights in Memphis included singing the Alto solos in Bach’s B-Minor Mass with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, the role of Armindo in Partenope, performing with contemporary a cappella group DeltaCappella, and presenting his research "Standardization of the Countertenor." This season Meyer returns to the Memphis Symphony Orchestra as the Countertenor soloist in Bernstein's Chichester Psalms, and will be performing the First Witch with Opera McGill's production of Dido and Aeneas.
