IMPORTANT:
Class file naming has been changed to lower case from version 1.0 to version 1.1. This impacts the applet tag calling HotMedia. If you update class files in a project from 1.0 to 1.1, you should do the following:
- Back up your directory.
- Delete all .class, .cab and .zip files in the HotMedia directory.
- Copy the new version 1.1 class files, .cab and .zip files
- Change all "HM.class" references in your HTML project files to "hm.class" (class name has changed from upper case HM to lower case.)
Assembly Tool

The Version 1.1 assembly tool can open HotMedia (.mvr) files created with either the 1.0 or 1.1 version of the tool. | |

The Version 1.0 assembly tool cannot read files created or saved with the newer version 1.1 tool. |
Java Player

The Version 1.1 class files (hm.class, etc.) are backward compatible and can play either 1.0 or 1.1 HotMedia objects (.mvr files). | |

Version 1.0 class files will play HotMedia objects (.mvr files) created with the newer 1.1 assembly tool but audio effects are not supported. It is recommended that you update the class files to the newer files. Please follow the above procedure. |
