Schulich School of Music |
The McGill Percussion Area is part of the Schulich School of Music of McGill University's Performance Department. We offer programs at both the Undergraduate and Graduate levels (including Doctoral studies).
Our program features a strong emphasis on fundamentals, evolving into an expertly guided pursuit of orchestral, solo, or chamber music specializations.
The award winning McGill Percussion Ensemble performs two or more full concerts a year, featuring a wide variety of repertoire including many recent compositions by Canadian composers.
Percussion students also perform with the McGill Symphony Orchestra, the McGill Contemporary Music Ensemble, the McGill Wind Symphony, and numerous other small ensembles.
